The most compact mixer ever to leave the Zoom labs, the Zoom LiveTrak L-6 functions as a mixer, a recorder and an audio interface complete with built-in effects and four sound pads, setting it up for any and all music-makers and content creators. This unit has space for hooking up two microphones plus four bits of stereo equipment fitted with line-outputs, including keyboards, synthesizers and drum machines.

The Zoom LiveTrak L-6R: A Library of Functions

The mass of functions on offer here is actually comparable with mixers three or four times the size of the L-6, but you're still getting them all. Everything is hidden beneath the set of multifunctional channel controls, which remove the need to fit a separate button for every task. Simply select the function you want to edit, say... the EQ, pan or level, and then tweak the setting by twisting the channel knob. Once everything has been set, you can save all of it to one of the three scene buttons so you can quickly call it up later, saving you masses of time and masses of extra work during soundcheck.

The Effects

Your creations can also be enriched using the bank of five on-board reverb and echo effects. Your own external effects units can also be integrated via the AUX-send connection ports and, via the four sound-pads, you can start and stop loops or sound effects from an SD card. On the mixing side of things, this unit even supplies a compressor and master section, so you're assured of tight and balanced sound, free of clipping.
